A tribute to Mike
I first met you, Mike, in 1995 and liked you straightaway
Well, maybe not immediately, you had to teach me (like so many others) first the proper way of speaking English
Also in our daily work, you didn’t tolerate imperfection, not from others, not from yourself.
Goes without saying that you had the same uncompromising approach when we met for a drink (or 2) after work.
You were always there when somebody needed help at work or privately
What is it that we remember most when we think of you? I think everyone who knows you would agree that it was your special sense of humour.
Even your illness didn’t affect that humour as following quotes from you prove:
“Didn't drink or eat a lot over Christmas so something is wrong.”
“the Doc is amazed at my high tolerance level to chemotheraphy, probably due to years of ………”
We will all miss you
Gilbert
